About

My name is Jacob Bryant and I am a mechanical engineering major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an Officer Candidate in the United States Air Force.  A few years ago, taking my photography to the next level was not even in consideration, but things you love always find a way of coming back to you.  Although the exotic, other-worldly locations such as Iceland and New Zealand are undoubtedly inspiring, I have actually found most of my inspiration in the beauty of my small hometown in Hardwick, NJ and the Delaware Water Gap.  My motivation comes from seeing the world in light that is seldom seen, capturing these memories, and sharing these unique experiences to showcase the beauty in the everyday world around us.

I got my start in photography years ago back in elementary school.  My dad was a film photographer back in the day and even had his own darkroom so it was and still is a great way to bond with him.  I got a Kodak Easyshare Point and Shoot Camera.  I brought it on several family vacations including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks but, when I began to want to take my photography more seriously, at the end of High School, it wasn't going to cut it.  I then got an entry level APS-C DSLR, the Nikon D3200 and this camera really got me my start in photography.  Once again, although the images were great, the sensor and performance needed an upgrade to be able to fully complete my photographic visions.  I finally upgraded to the the Full Frame D810, and after countless lenses, lighting material, and other accessories, haven't turned back.
